Of course this is not universal but I’d say it’s the norm not the exception. The gun becomes normalized and eventually it is viewed as a beneficial object. Once a person owns a gun, typically it results in a fundamental shift in perception. The gated institutional complex sees the normalization of gun ownership across the entire political spectrum and it makes them very anxious.
